Mike Vrabel will be using Will Levis as the Tennessee Titans starting quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Vrabel spoke at a team press conference on Tuesday confirming the change.

Levis has started the last two games for Tennessee with a 1-1 record. Levis debuted with 238 yards passing and 4 touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons in a 28-23 win.

Ryan Tannehill has been dealing with a high ankle sprain and has not played since the team’s game in London with the Baltimore Ravens. Tannehill exited the game and the Titans lost 24-16.

Vrabel said that using Levis is what’s best for the team at the moment.

“Moving forward, Will’s gonna be our quarterback. We’re gonna go with Will, we think that’s the best opportunity for our football team right now,” said Vrabel. “We’ll see where he’s at. I think Ryan will progress through this week. We’re hopeful for Ryan to be a backup for us and to prepare as the starter, but that’s where we’re at right now.”

Tennessee previously lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football 20-16. Levis had 262 yards passing and 1 interception in the loss.

The Titans travel on the road to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next. The Buccaneers have lost 4 games in a row as both franchises sit at 3-5 through 8 games.

Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium will be at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
