Will Levis is not expected to play in the Tennessee Titans’ final preseason game on Friday evening, according to a report.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler was first to share that news. Fowler also noted that Levis could slip to 3rd string on Tennessee’s depth chart behind Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis as a result of not playing in this game.

With Tannehill the presumed starter, Levis has been battling for the backup job alongside Willis this offseason. Levis did not play in the Titans’ 2nd preseason game against the Vikings earlier this month.

Levis was an early 2nd round selection by the Titans in the 2023 NFL Draft. He’s entering his rookie season after a successful career at Kentucky.

Levis went 9-for-14 for 85 yards and 1 interception in his lone preseason game, which was against the Bears back on Aug. 12.

As for Kentucky, the Wildcats added longtime NC State starter Devin Leary out of the transfer portal to help replace Levis.
