Angel Reese away from the team as LSU takes on Southeastern Louisiana
Angel Reese is not with LSU as it takes on Southeastern Louisiana on Friday night.
LSU Sports Radio Network was first to share that news on Friday evening.
The starting lineup for the Tigers will be Hailey Van Lith, Sa’Myah Smith, Last-Tear Poa, Aneesah Morrow, and Mikaylah Williams. Morrow takes the place of Reese in the starting lineup.

Reese was benched for the 2nd half of the game against Kent State. LSU had a 39-37 lead at the half and ended up winning 109-79 without the star player. Reese ended the game with just 11 points and 5 rebounds. After the game, Kim Mulkey called the move a “coach’s decision.”
Mulkey is expected to address Reese’s absence after LSU’s game vs. Southeastern Louisiana on Friday evening.
The Tigers have stumbled out of the gate this season. The team lost the opener against Colorado and then looked sloppy against Kent State. Now, the team will need to get through at least one game without their preseason All-American in Reese.
