Angel Reese was the subject of a “Weekend Update” segment on Saturday Night Live over the weekend as cast member Punkie Johnson referenced many of the references that made news last week during appearance as Reese, the LSU women’s basketball star, with Michael Che.

Reese’s character recalled how LSU beat Iowa to win the national championship, and all the trash talking that ensued. Then the back and forth about Jill Biden inviting Iowa to the White House. Reese initially declined the invitation, then reversed course.

Johnson arrived on the set doing Reese’s “You can’t see me” gesture and also pointed at her ring finger.

“The Bayou Barbie is in the building! Louisiana, stand up!,” she said.

Che added “Well, Angel, you had quite a week,” and Johnson responded, “Yeah, I got people big mad! First they was mad because I was taunting, but all I did was this [as she repeats the gesture]. You would have thought I pulled my nipple out and flicked it on national TV! Then they were mad because I didn’t want to go to the White House, but Che, they invited Iowa too!”

“In the history of sports, when you lose, you take your ass home. But then white girls lose, and suddenly it’s All Teams Matter,” she said.

Reese admitted that the visit to the White House will be cool — for them.

“I’m a big deal now, Che,” she said, and then listed several possible endorsements. “… Degree deodorant: Y’all stank!” … “Garden Gnomes: Man, get your little ass out of my face!”, and “Big-ass eyelashes: empowering women ballers and Snuffleupagus since 1972.”

She also mentioned getting, “All this Baby Gap money.”

“Because all these bitches are my sons,” she said.
