Colin Cowherd says Auburn-LSU will be a 'blowout baby'
The best game in the SEC this week will be a “blowout, baby,” Colin Cowherd declared in his weekly picks segment about Saturday’s game.
Cowherd said he’s taking LSU and giving the 10.5 points against Auburn on the strength of possible Heisman Trophy winner QB Joe Burrow, who may be a top five pick in the NFL Draft next spring.
Cowherd pointed out that LSU is great in big games, including being 6-1 in its last 7 against top 10 teams. The Fox Sports host said it’s going to be a complete mismatch with Auburn QB Bo Nix, who he called a “mess.”
Auburn’s going to get overwhelmed,” Cowherd said. “Auburn never wins this game in Death Valley. LSU wins it comfortably 36-20.”
This is likely an elimination game for the SEC West as both teams still face Alabama down the stretch. Cowherd pointed out a storyline that Gus Malzahn didn’t need to be reminded about. Auburn hasn’t won at LSU since 1999.
