LSU has received a Notice of Allegations relating to violations related form the basketball and football programs.

That news spurred the firing of head basketball coach Will Wade Saturday afternoon. Wade has been fired with cause as a result of the details contained in the notice.

That Noice of Allegations also contained violations from the football program. According to Ross Dellenger with SI, the NCAA slapped the Tigers with “lack of institutional control in football and men’s basketball.” The lack of control spanned a period of 7 years.

Some of the allegations against the Tigers include a booster issuing payments and providing impermissible benefits to the family of offensive lineman Vadal Alexander. Alexander played under Les Miles from 2012-15.

The notice also touches on Odell Beckham Jr. handing out money to players shortly after capturing the national championship in Jan. 2020 and a Level III violation for former head coach Ed Orgeron.
