LSU is getting rested up this week during the bye after winning three consecutive SEC games — two of which were on the road. Immediately following the latest victory, head coach Ed Orgeron addressed the fact that his team is already looking ahead to next weekend’s game in Tuscaloosa.

The LSU coach was the first coach to speak during Wednesday’s SEC Teleconference.

Here’s a summary of what Coach O had to say:

  • Opening statements: “Getting some much-needed rest… Very pleased with our performance against Ole Miss, very pleased with our tailbacks. Tremendous job by the offense. A lot of respect for Ole Miss, we knew it would take 60 minutes.”
  • On using a helicopter to recruit: “I don’t know if we were the first to do that. There was so much traffic I figured a helicopter would be good. Circling the stadium once or twice… It gives the wow factor when you show up.”
  • Will everyone be back for Bama? “We feel good about it. Everyone should be healthy for that game.”
  • On the emotion of last week’s win: “Three wins in a row in the SEC is a big deal, although that’s expected here at LSU. Our guys were fired up to come in and look at the film. The excitement will continue to build Monday when the guys come back in and we start work for Alabama.”
