Ed Orgeron pinpoints 'the difference' in LSU's loss to Florida
In a game full of pivotal moments and LSU mistakes, Tigers interim coach Ed Orgeron identified what he called the most crucial one shortly after his team’s 16-10 loss to Florida in Tiger Stadium.
"I thought that was the difference in the game," Orgeron said of Guice fumble near Gator goal in 1st half when LSU was about to go up 14-3.

After scoring a touchdown on their first possession, LSUhad marched more than 60 yards on 10 plays into the red zone. But sophomore running back Derrius Guice fumbled, letting the Gators back into a game the Tigers had dominated to that point.
Guice had a chance to redeem himself on the final play of the game with LSU facing fourth-and-goal on the 1-yard line. But he was unable to score on a toss-power play, and Orgeron told local reporters after the game that Guice went the wrong way on the pitch.

Guice had been sensational this season filling in for the injured Leonard Fournette, racing to an SEC-leading 8.7 yards per carry. He still ran 19 times for 83 yards and a score while catching one pass for 29 yards, but those two mistakes loom large in the Tigers’ fourth loss of the season.
