With JaCoby Stevens’ successful prep career nearing its conclusion, the five-star defensive back from Murfreesboro, Tenn., is ready to look ahead to his future as an LSU Tiger. With only the 2017 Under Armour All-American game left to play before heading to Baton Rouge, Stevens already has a number in mind for his LSU jersey.
For those wondering which number the early enrollee will wear this spring for the Tigers, the nation’s No. 1 safety prospect, according to 247Sports, revealed the answer Wednesday:
I'LL BE WEARING #3 At LSU NEXT YEAR!!! #GeauxTigers

The No. 3 was of course also worn by receiver Odell Beckham Jr., safety Chad Jones and, most recently, by former five-star recruit Tyron Johnson – who has since transferred from the program.
It will be interesting to see if Stevens can live up to the hype and become the next member of LSU’s highly successful DBU. Judging by his high school highlight reel, Stevens could become the best defensive back yet to done the Purple and Gold.
