Former LSU OL Andrew Whitworth reportedly receives record-setting extension with Rams

Former LSU OL Andrew Whitworth has been with the Los Angeles Rams since 2017, and it doesn’t seem the team wants to lose him any time soon.
Now 38 years old, Whitworth has reportedly signed a record-breaking extension to remain with the Rams.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Whitworth will sign a 3-year contract with the Rams that is worth $30 million (and could go up to as much as $37.5 million). That is a record contract for a non-quarterback over the age of 35:
The #Rams are giving LT Andrew Whitworth a 3-year deal worth $30M, source said. He can get up to $37.5M — $12.5M fully guaranteed. It's the highest paying contract signed by 35+ year old non-QB in NFL history.

Considering Whitworth will be 41 by the time the contract is over, this is probably his final NFL deal.
So, the Rams have their left tackle locked up for 3 more years and Whitworth has made NFL history. A good day for both parties.
