Jalen Lee, a former Florida defensive lineman with starting experience, has announced a commitment to play for a new program.

Lee shared on social media that he would play next season at LSU. He’s from Watson, Louisiana, so he fits the mold that Brian Kelly established to look for transfer portal players from Louisiana.

Lee was a 4-star defensive tackle in the class of 2020. He played in 25 games over 3 seasons. In 2022, Lee recorded 8 tackles.

He appeared in all 12 games during the regular season this past season, and made 3 starts at nose tackle, and collected 8 assisted tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss.

Coming out of high school, his Florida bio noted that he played at Live Oak High School, where he was a 2018 and 2019 All-District Selection. He finished his junior year with 74 tackles and 5.5 sacks while primarily playing nose tackle. Lee held more than 15 Division I offers, including Alabama, Georgia, and LSU, where he verbally committed before he chose Florida.
