Jayden Daniels has done some intense heavy lifting for LSU’s offense through 30 minutes of action against Florida State. While the Tigers have turned the ball over on downs twice in the first half, Daniels has largely been electric.

At the half, Daniels has 246 total yards of offense from LSU’s 293 yards. He’s LSU’s leading rusher with 58 yards on 10 carries while going 11-for-22 for 188 yards through the air.

As for areas of concern, LSU’s Malik Nabers has just 2 catches for 24 yards in the first half, and Daniels and Nabers have had some miscommunications at times. The Tigers are also 2-for-6 on 3rd downs and 0-for-2 on 4th downs at the break.

Seeing Daniels utilize his dual-threat talent is expected, but it’s still remarkable to see the total percentage of LSU’s yardage that Daniels has accounted for before the break. It’s a large reason why many fans and analysts believe Daniels will be a legitimate contender for the Heisman Trophy this fall.

While the Tigers — and Daniels — need to find the end zone a bit more, he’s making a lot of plays and is the main reason LSU even has 14 points at the break. Here’s how fans and media reacted to that first-half performance from the LSU QB:
