Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson were set for a battle of superstar quarterbacks in one of the better matchups to land on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football. Unfortunately, the second half of the game lacks one of the former Heisman winners.

Amazon’s broadcast showed Burrow dealing with noticeable discomfort after a 2nd quarter passing play.

The former LSU standout was later shown on the sidelines gripping a football but unable to complete his throwing motion. The former LSU star quarterback was visibly upset that he was unable to return to the game.

The Bengals formally ruled him out with a right wrist injury. He was 11-of-17 passing for 101 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game.

Unfortunately, Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor indicated to Kaylee Hartung that Burrow missing multiple games is a possibility.

Burrow, in his fourth professional season, is no stranger to the injury bug. He has dealt with multiple leg injuries and a finger dislocation during his time in Cincinnati. Fans of the Bayou Bengals and Cincinnati Bengals hope that Burrow can get back on the field soon.
