Les Miles welcomed Jim McElwain back to the SEC on Thursday, possibly giving some insight into his future in the process.

McElwain was officially hired as Florida’s head coach on Friday, meaning he’ll see Les Miles and the Tigers annually, as LSU and Florida are cross-divisional opponents. McElwain was previously the offensive coordinator at Alabama from 2008-11, so Miles is already familiar with the new Gators coach.

By now, we should know not to read too much into the infrequent tweets from Miles’ account. However, the fact that he said he would “enjoy continued great competition” could be construed as a sign that Miles has no intention of leaving for Michigan.
