LSU track and field had a big day at the outdoor SEC championships in Knoxville, Tenn. Sunday.
A colegiate-record setting performance (42.05) by the LSU women on the 4×100 meter relay caught the attention of former running back Derrius Guice. The Washington Redskins rookie was so excited he tweeted “LETS GOOOOO” tagging three of the runners. At the time of this posting, the LSU women’s team was in second overall with four events remaining.
Later, one of Guice’s former teammates helped secure another conference title for LSU. CB Kary Vincent was part of the men’s squad that captured the 4×100 meter relay. The foursome finished with a time of 38.76.
