LSU has completed its flip of a blue-chip defender from Georgia.

CJ Jackson committed to Georgia Tech on June 25, but backed off his pledge to the Yellow Jackets earlier this month. On Sunday, he verbally pledged to play for Brian Kelly’s program.

Jackson shared the big news on social media:

A Tucker standout, Jackson is listed as measuring 6-5, 225 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Jackson is rated 4-stars, the No. 14 edge defender, No. 24 Peach State product and No. 193 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Jackson has picked up scholarship offers from 15 schools during his recruitment. In addition to LSU and Georgia Tech, other schools to show interest include Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

LSU’s 2024 recruiting class is filling up. With Jackson on board, the Tigers now have 25 pledges in a class ranked No. 9 in the nation on the Composite. Fans of the Bayou Bengals can get a preview of what Jackson brings to Baton Rouge by checking out his highlights below, via Hudl:
