Ed Orgeron’s weekend kicks off with a commitment.

St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) OL Marlon Martinez announced Saturday morning that he has pledged to the Tigers. The 6-5, 287-pounder took an official visit to LSU campus on April 26. The 247Sports Composite lists Martinez as a 3-star recruit, the No. 44 offensive guard, No. 105 Florida product and No. 791 prospect overall nationally in the 2020 class.

Martinez was recruited by Corey Raymond and James Cregg for LSU. His other notable scholarship offers include Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Penn State and Vanderbilt.

Entering Saturday, LSU’s 2020 class had Composite rankings of No. 2 in the SEC and No. 3 nationally. Martinez is commitment No. 15 in the class.
