LSU opens its 2022 season Sunday night with a big game against Florida State at the Superdome in New Orleans.

In addition to matching two of the biggest brands in college football, the game will also be the first for Brian Kelly, who was hired away from Notre Dame by the Tigers after Ed Orgeron was let go last season.

On Sunday afternoon ahead of its season opener, LSU announced that Jaray Jenkins would be joining BJ Ojulari, Ali Gaye and Mike Jones Jr. (the team’s captains for the season) as an additional team captain for the matchup with the Seminoles.

Jenkins, a 6-2, 200-pound senior wide receiver, recorded 34 catches for 502 yards and 6 touchdowns a year ago.

The Tigers and the Seminoles are set for a 7:30 p.m. (ET) kickoff on Saturday night on ABC. LSU is currently a 4-point favorite.
