LSU RB announces he won't play in Texas Bowl, announces NFL Draft decision
LSU will be without one of its running backs in the Texas Bowl against Kansas State.
Ty Davis-Price announced he won’t play in the Tigers bowl game and will enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
“I would like to thank everyone that has been a part of my amazing journey,” Davis-Price announced on Twitter. “I’m grateful for every minute of it, the good and bad; for these life experiences help mold and prepare me for what’s to come next in my future.
“After prayerful consideration, my family and I decided that it is best for me to forego the bowl game and my senior year at LSU.
“I’m excited to embark on a new chapter of my life. I will be entering the 2022 NFL Draft.”
The LSU running back rushed 211 times for 1,003 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2021. Davis-Price broke Leonard Fournette’s single-game rushing record against Florida, as he rushed for 287 yards and 3 touchdowns in the game.
