The LSU Tigers boasted the SEC’s worst pass attack in 2014, but they added some reinforcements Friday in the form of one prominent Florida prep quarterback.

According to NOLA.com, the Tigers received a commitment from two-time Florida Class 2A Player of the Year Caleb Lewis, who will enroll at LSU in January and join the football team as a preferred walk-on.

The lefty from Victory Christian Academy in Lakeland, Fla. threw for 5,647 yards and 60 touchdowns in 27 games spanning the 2013-14 seasons. He led his team to a 2A state title this year, throwing for 384 yards and six touchdowns in a 54-16 victory in the championship game.

This season, the Tigers threw for just 164 yards per game, 15 fewer than any other team in the conference. Quarterbacks Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris will both return next season and are expected to compete for the starting job.
