Even with a day left in the Early Signing Period, there are waves being made in the 2022 class. For LSU, that means a decommitment from an elite cornerback.

Khamauri Rogers, the No. 1 player in the class from the state of Mississippi, announced on Twitter that he has stepped away from his pledge with the Tigers.

“After careful consideration, my family and I have decided to open my recruitment back up,” he wrote.

Rogers is 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, and is from Lexington, Mississippi (Holmes County). He is ranked the No. 7 cornerback in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He has a reported 33 offers, but Geaux247 reported that he had been committed to the Tigers since November of 2019, but picked up offers since then from the likes of Georgia, Texas A&M, FSU, Arizona State, Arkansas and Jackson State. Miami also got him on campus for a visit.

This will be an interesting recruitment to watch as a slew of SEC teams will battle for his services in 2022.

Even without Rogers, LSU still holds the top class in the SEC at the moment, and the No. 3 class in America for 2022.

Here are his highlights from Hudl:
