The LSU Tigers hit the road on Saturday night to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, with both teams eyeing a 3-0 start.

If the Bulldogs want to emerge victorious from Saturday night’s showdown, the blueprint for success isn’t exactly hard to figure out — stop star LSU RB Derrius Guice.

Unfortunately for Mississippi State defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, that’s easier said than done, as Guice led the SEC in rushing yards last year and is off to a hot start this year.

Grantham knows his unit has its work cut out for it, saying Guice is as good of a runner as the Bulldogs will see all season:

Guice has carried the ball 42 times for 224 yards and four touchdowns while helping the Tigers run past BYU and Chattanooga.

Saturday’s SEC West matchup in Starkville is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. Central time and can be seen on ESPN.
