Ole Miss and LSU is this week’s “SEC on CBS” game, and the Magnolia Bowl was on the minds of the CBS Sports Network panel featuring Aaron Taylor, Randy Cross, Brian Jones and Rick Neuheisel.

Neuheisel was the only one to pick Ole Miss, and he explained why.

“This running game that Lane (Kiffin) and company have concocted is really fun to watch,” he said. “They’ve got zone schemes, they’ve got gap schemes, they’ve got all the stuff, and they’ve got all kinds of camouflage, people going back and forth with fly sweeps. It was 33 plays before they had to throw a drop-back pass against Auburn. They have it all going, that will confuse LSU, and LSU’s inconsistent.”

Jones said as great as Ole Miss was last week on offense, he pointed out that the Rebels gave up 300 rushing yards against Auburn. Jones also praised LSU’s Jayden Daniels, and said the LSU wide receivers “are going to love this Ole Miss secondary.”

Cross added that the home team typically wins in this series, while Taylor praised the LSU defensive line and the “Brian Kelly train.”
