LSU fans, at least those in Louisiana, may be getting to see a lot more of former Tigers CB Patrick Peterson in the future.

The All-Pro cornerback has been lobbying to be traded. According to Peterson’s cousin, CBS Sports analyst Bryant McFadden, Peterson has even told the Cardinals where he wants to be traded: New Orleans.

While it would not be a return to Peterson’s hometown (Pompano Beach, Fla.), it would still be a homecoming of sorts considering the three years Peterson spent up the road in Baton Rouge (2008-10 at LSU).

Louisiana football fans hoping to see Peterson back in the boot should not hold their breath just yet. Adam Schefter is reporting Arizona does not wish to trade Peterson.

We will see which side wins out next week. The NFL trade deadline is Oct. 30.
