Former LSU cornerback Jalen Collins has shot up draft boards since this time last season, but he may move back down those boards less than one week before the draft after it was reported Friday that Collins failed multiple drug tests while at LSU.

NFL Media’s Albert Breer first tweeted the report as part of his nine draft nuggets entering the weekend, citing sources from multiple NFL organizations.

Collins left LSU a year early to pursue a career in the NFL despite only starting for one full season while with the Tigers, and teams may already be concerned about the foot surgery he underwent last month.

Evaluations of Collins’ pro prospects vary depending who you ask, but most draft boards rank him among the top 3 cornerbacks in the draft class, and most mock drafts have him going off the board in the late first round, often within the last 10 picks of the round.

The NFL Draft begins on Thursday night with the first round from Chicago.
