After LSU tweaked its uniforms to start the season, the Tigers have unveiled a new look for Saturday’s game against Troy.

On Thursday, the team announced it would wear white pants with the purple jerseys it had already announced. The combination appears to blend the fashion from 2015 and 2016 seasons.

The pants will have the traditional LSU striping on the side but will include the block “L” used last season. The team previously wore a white jersey with half-length shoulder stripe from 2002-12.

The Times-Picayune reported that this is the third time since 1995 the team has used a white helmet-purple jersey-white pants combination. The first was in 2007 against Tulane with special purple jerseys with patches honoring Hurricane Katrina victims and the second was against South Carolina in 2015.
