The Michigan Wolverines have earned the Joe Moore Award for the 2022 season, receiving the honors over the likes of the SEC’s Georgia Bulldogs. The honors are presented to the team with the best offensive line annually.

The Wolverines have made history here, named to the award for the second consecutive year. No other team in college football has accomplished that feat.

The Michigan O-line got things done for an offense that currently ranks ranks No. 7 in scoring with an average of 40.1 points per game and has opened up the run lanes for the No. 6 rushing offense in the country, which records 243 yards per contest on average.

Starting guards Zak Zinter and Trevor Keegan received first-team All-Big Ten honors earlier this month, while Olusegun Oluwatimi was first team on the coaches’ ballots. Oluwatimi was also named the winner of the Rimington Award as the nation’s best center and became Michigan’s first-ever Outland Trophy Award winner, presented to the top interior lineman in college football.
