Andrew Osteen, a transfer punter out of Central Florida, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Osteen wrote on social media that he’s “blessed to announce I’ll be finishing my last season at Mississippi State.”

Osteen appeared in 13 games, and made 12 punts this season for an average of 39.75 yards per punt.

He appeared in every game from 2020 as the team’s holder and started 2 games as a punter. Osteen went on to start as the team’s punter in 2021. During his tenure, he attempted 180 punts for a total of 7,560 yards, an average of 42 yards per punt. Coach Gus Malzahn made the change at punter from Osteen to true freshman Mitch McCarthy this season.

The Bulldogs had some room at punter after Archer Trafford entered the transfer portal and George Georgopoulos is out of eligibility.
