Mississippi State coach Joe Moorhead is probably used to seeing his name misspelled, just not like this.

According to a tweet from Brett Hudson, who covers the Bulldogs for The Commercial Dispatch, LSU’s weekly media guide for its game against Mississippi State mistakenly identified the opposing coach as “Jim” Moorhead.

It’s almost certainly an honest mistake from LSU’s media relations staff, which has little time to cram these media guides with pages and pages of information on top of their other duties as the liaison between reporters and the team.

But when Moorhead’s name is misspelled, it’s usually the more common spelling of “Moorehead.” So it’s a little odd to see LSU’s game notes refer to him by a completely different first name.

Who knows, maybe Moorhead has a twin brother named Jim who’s actually running things behind the scenes.
