Mississippi State opens the 2018 season on Saturday, and the Bulldogs will be doing so with a classic look.

On Friday, Mississippi State unveiled its uniform combination for the opener with a short teaser video on Twitter. And fans should be happy with the choice.

The Bulldogs are wearing maroon jerseys with white pants and maroon helmets, a traditional look for the program.

Mississippi State will be playing its first game of the Joe Moorhead era after former coach Dan Mullen left for Florida after nine seasons leading the program.

The Bulldogs will be playing the opener without senior quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, who was suspended for a violation of team rules.

Mississippi State and Stephen F. Austin kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
