Mississippi State is looking to bolster its offensive line with the transfer commitment of Marlon Martinez.

Martinez played in 45 games for LSU from 2020-2023, with the majority taking place on special teams. He has lot of versatility and is able to play at nearly every position on the offensive line.

It appears that Martinez is looking for a starting role after having few starts with the Tigers. Now, he’s heading to Starkville for a chance to do just that.

The Bulldogs continue to add depth to their offensive line since the portal departure of Steven LaSoya III. LaSoya started in 21 games for Mississippi State. LaSoya has since transferred to Vanderbilt. Jeff Lebby recently added a transfer commitment from former North Texas OL Ethan Miner.

Martinez was a former 3-star recruit in the 2020 class. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 17 offensive guard in the class out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas.
