Mississippi State added its second offensive tackle and fifth offensive lineman to its 2017 recruiting class last night after three-star prospect Cordavien Suggs announced he would be headed to Starkville last night.

The 6-foot-6, 282-pound OT made the announcement in the late hours of Friday evening via his Twitter account.

According to 247Sports, Suggs is ranked no. 100 among offensive tackles in the 2017 class and has been pinned as the 146th-best player overall from the state of Florida.

Suggs received attention from several schools across the country, offered by 35 programs before committing to the Bulldogs on Friday. Other SEC teams in the running for his signature included South Carolina and Tennessee.

Last night’s commitment is the 20th player Dan Mullen has landed for the 2017 class. Currently, Mississippi State owns the no. 14 recruiting class nationally but is sixth in the SEC.
