Tim Tebow answered questions on Friday as SEC Nation will be in Starkville for Week 3. Tebow talked about some of the lessons that Mike Leach taught to quarterback Will Rogers.

One of the main things that Rogers learned from Leach was the “next play” mindset. Rogers thinks about Leach often on gamedays.

“We just got done talking and I said, ‘What are some of the things that go through your head and heart when you think about Coach Leach? He said, play the next play’. I think that he definitely means that. This is a different challenge, it’ll be a different beast against LSU. I think he’s focusing on the gameplan. I’m excited to see how this gameplan unfolds.”

Rogers threw the ball 17 times in the 31-24 overtime win over Arizona. Rogers had 162 yards passing with 2 touchdowns. The next play mantra could be useful against a tough opponent like LSU.

Rogers has 389 yards passing with 5 touchdowns through two games this season. He has yet to throw an interception as well.

Mississippi State has a chance to avenge last season’s loss in Baton Rouge. Now the game is in Starkville and the Bulldogs are ready to feast.

Rogers and the Bulldogs take on the Tigers at Noon ET Saturday on ESPN.
