On Saturday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs will travel to the Northeast region of the country to take on UMass.

It’s a fascinating game for a number of reasons. For one, it’s not very often that an SEC team will travel that far north during the regular season. Secondly, head coach Dan Mullen has many ties to the Northeast. He was born in Pennsylvania, raised in New Hampshire, and went to college in New York.

Lastly, this non-conference contest will take place at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough — the home of the New England Patriots.

So naturally, the Bulldogs will look like the Patriots with these new alternate uniforms. If one compares these jerseys to the ones that Bill Belichick’s team wears, they’re eerily similar.
