Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers hit a program milestone on Tuesday against Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl.
In the 2nd quarter, Rogers went past the 4,435-yard mark in total offense. That broke a program record originally held by Bulldogs great Dak Prescott.
Entering Tuesday’s contest, Rogers had thrown for 4,449 yards for the season. Heading into his junior year in 2022, he’ll be looked upon once more as the centerpiece of the Bulldogs offense.
Texas Tech, however, leads Mississippi State 10-7 in the 2nd quarter. The Bulldogs are looking to become the first SEC team to win a bowl game this year as the conference has gone 0-3 thus far.
Following that drive, @Wrogers__2 has broken @dak's school record (4,435) for total offense in a season with 4,464 yards.#HailState pic.twitter.com/oWNeV10iSl
