Will Rogers and Mississippi State were physically pounded by Alabama Saturday night 30-6. It’s worth noting the Bulldogs lone touchdown came on the last play of the game, too. So, it was a rough night for Rogers and company.

Earlier this month, the Mississippi State quarterback broke Aaron Murray’s SEC completions record, and he’s, for the most part, running Mike Leach’s system very well in Starkville, although Saturday night didn’t depict that. Rogers finished just 30-of-60 for 231 yards.

Even after a tough game, Rogers was all class with one female Alabama event staff member. Mississippi State athletic director John Cohen shared a video of Rogers walking the staff member up the exit ramp of Bryant-Denny Stadium while holding her hand. Cohen even said Rogers offered to help her first.

It would have been easy to throw some head phones on, put up a hood and get to the bus as quickly as possible after the blowout loss. Instead, Rogers made a decision to be kind to a person in need.

We can all learn something from Rogers’ gesture.
