Zach Arnett remained non-committal, but he noted Wednesday during the SEC’s weekly teleconference that several players could return from injury this week against Arkansas.

He did specifically say that starting QB Will Rogers and RB Jo’Quavious Marks remain questionable for Week 8’s SEC West battle.

“We’ll see how the next 48 hours plays out, but we are very optimistic that we’ll get a few guys back Saturday,” Arnett said.

Mississippi State started September rough, but has a tame schedule upcoming and can still claw its way to 6 wins on the season for a potential bowl bid. Getting Rogers back under center is paramount for those odds, however.

The Bulldogs saw action from Mike Wright a few weeks ago against Western Michigan. Wright transferred in from Vanderbilt and played well, but not fantastic against the Broncos in Week 6.

Now, the Bulldogs travel to Fayetteville to take on an Arkansas squad that has lost plenty of games by just 1 score. The Razorbacks are capable, but beatable.
