There isn’t such a thing as an easy win for the 2015 Missouri Tigers, but they’ll have a good chance to reset their season this week.

Missouri plays at Vanderbilt in a game between the 5th and 7th-place teams, respectively, in the SEC East. Neither team can afford to lose, which should set up an intriguing matchup.

Here are five players to watch when the Tigers travel to Nashville:

1. OL Connor McGovern – Missouri coach Gary Pinkel and offensive line coach A.J. Ricker hinted on Monday that the O-line will be shaken up against the Commodores. Conventional wisdom indicates McGovern, Missouri’s left tackle and strongest offensive lineman, will move back inside at guard to elevate the running game. A similar move midway through last season proved to be effective for the Tigers, who desperately need an offensive boost. We’ll see if McGovern can provide it.

2. QB Drew Lock – Lock may not get much of a reprieve from his struggles vs. Florida and at Georgia against Vanderbilt’s defense. The Commodores are ranked 31st nationally in total defense, allowing a respectable 338 yards per game that puts them just behind the Gators and Bulldogs within the SEC. But Vanderbilt has already lost 16 turnovers — the most in the SEC — meaning Lock and the Tigers should get plenty of chances to score on Saturday. We’ll see how much Lock is able to unload against the Commodores as Missouri’s play-calling has become increasingly conservative.

3. DE Walter Brady – Speaking of turnovers, this man knows how to force them. The redshirt freshman already has an interception on the season while providing constant disruption to opposing backfields. At the very least, Brady is poised to feast against the Vanderbilt offense, which leads the SEC in passing attempts per game. That means plenty of dropbacks, plenty of hurries and, hopefully for Brady and the Tigers, plenty of forced turnovers.

4. PR/WR Cam Hilton – The true freshman is looking to rebound after fumbling a punt at Georgia. That wasn’t the only reason the Tigers lost, and Hilton is still listed atop the depth chart as Missouri’s punt returner, but Hilton’s play will be critical in a game that should feature plenty of punts. Hilton also moved up on the depth chart at receiver, signifying his chemistry with Lock. If Hilton is an offensive and special teams safety net, the Tigers should come out of Nashville with a win.

5. CB Aarion Penton – The man Hilton replaced as punt returner is quietly having a terrific season in the secondary. Penton is 5th on the team in tackles, having recorded 6 at Georgia last week, and has broken up 6 passes. Penton has yet to intercept a ball this season, though, and Vanderbilt’s turnover-prone, heavy-pass offense will be his best chance to do so. Penton will also need to limit Commodores receiver Trent Sherfield, who ranks in the top six in the SEC in receptions and receiving yards.
