Barry Odom’s program had reason to celebrate over the weekend as Saint Charles native Drake Heismeyer announced his commitment to Missouri.

The offensive lineman from Francis Howell High School becomes the second recruit in the 2020 recruiting cycle to pledge his commitment to the Tigers, joining St. Louis quarterback prospect Brady Cook. Rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite rankings, the 6-foot-3, 283-pound Heismeyer is listed as the No. 14 overall recruit from the Show Me state. While he may not yet have scholarship offers from Tennessee or Kentucky, Heismeyer recently visited both programs this spring.

He announced his commitment on Twitter with the following statement:

“COMMITTED! I’m staying home to play football for THE UNIVERSITY of MISSOURI! Go Tigers! #LoutotheZou #SHOWME20 #MIZ”
