Former Missouri QB Drew Lock has (fairly) had his accuracy and decision-making abilities questioned during his brief time as a pro quarterback with the Denver Broncos.

However, one thing that has never been in question is his arm strength. Lock has an absolute cannon of a right arm, and he got to show that off in the Broncos’ preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday.

As you can see in the video below, Lock connected with KJ Hamler for an impressive 80-yard touchdown pass:

That’s not a pass that got to Hamler quickly and Hamler did all the work. Lock put some air under that one and got to show off his arm strength.

Obviously, it wasn’t great defense from the Vikings, but if Lock can hit receivers in stride down the field like that, he’ll likely beat out Teddy Bridgewater for the starting job this year.
