Missouri basketball guard Kaleb Brown has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Verbal Commits was 1st to report that news on Friday evening. Brown played a bench role for the Tigers over the past 2 seasons.

He is, of course, the younger brother of Mizzou star Kobe Brown. Kobe’s status with the program is also uncertain after he declared for the 2023 NBA Draft earlier this month. Coach Dennis Gates said a decision on Kobe’s future would be made after the NBA scouting combine in mid-May.

Kaleb Brown’s departure likely won’t have a huge impact on the Tigers for next season. He played in just 11 games last season and averaged just 7.7 minutes per contest. He has scored 33 points on 13-of-38 shooting over the course of his collegiate career so far.

Missouri is still building its roster for next season, so his decision to enter the portal will open up another scholarship for the Tigers. Mizzou has already added 3 transfers this cycle so far, and more could be on the way.

Brown will have 2 years of eligibility at his next destination.
