It was announced Tuesday that Missouri and Arkansas will take the Battle Line Rivalry to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in 2020. If all goes well, it won’t be the only game Mizzou plays at Arrowhead Stadium.

“Mizzou and the Chiefs have discussed a future opportunity for another game in Arrowhead against a mutually agreeable Power 5 opponent during the 2021-24 seasons,” Tuesday’s announcement states.

Missouri has already scheduled four out-of-conference games for each of the 2021-24 seasons, including trips to Boston College, Middle Tennessee, Memphis and UMass. It’s not uncommon to see future games moved to a different date to allow for scheduling another opponent. Or Mizzou may move an already scheduled home contest to Arrowhead Stadium. It will be interesting to see what comes of the second date mentioned.

An announcement for a follow-up opponent and year has yet to be determined. Arrowhead is notoriously one of the most intimidating venues in pro football. For the Tigers’ sake, they hope to use it to their advantage.
