Missouri players knew a 'street fight' was coming at Kentucky
The Missouri Tigers just knocked off the Kentucky Wildcats at home, winning 38-21.
After the game, Brady Cook mentioned that the Tigers “knew it was going to be a street fight” in Lexington.

Cook struggled mightily to start, with the Tigers falling behind 14-0 after 1 quarter. However, the Tigers bounced back and Cook ended with 167 passing yards, 40 rushing yards, and 2 total TDs.
A pivotal moment in the game came in the 2nd quarter. The Tigers seemed ready to punt the ball away again after the offense stalled. However, a fake was called, and the Tigers not only converted, but scored a TD. After the game, Drinkwitz commented on the bold playcall.
Drinkwitz on the fake punt: “We knew any time we crossed the 50 if they went safe defense that we had that call on.”

Kentucky looked unprepared for the fake and it worked to perfection for the Tigers.
Drinkwitz pointed to a pregame speech by RB Cody Schrader as a key factor in the team’s attitude. Per Drinkwitz, Schrader talked to the team about how disrespected the team has been.
Drinkwitz says Cody Schrader gave a pre-game speech to the Mizzou locker room about being disrespected, and that it was personal.
