Corey Batoon contract details are out and the new defensive coordinator at Missouri will make $1 million per year on a three-year contract.

The news came from a response to open records requests by the likes of Power Mizzou and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Batoon, 55, the former South Alabama DC, also received a $30,000 signing bonus, and will be eligible for several standard incentives.

It’s a considerable raise for Batoon, who reportedly made $292,000 at South Alabama, according to USA Today’s database of coaching contracts. Former Mizzou DC Blake Baker made an average of $2 million in his recent agreement with Missouri before he left for LSU.

For context, offensive coordinator Kirby Moore, who signed a contract extension after his first season, makes an average of $1.25 million per year.

Batoon’s experience includes stops at Liberty, Hawaii, FAU and 5 seasons in various roles at Ole Miss.
