Mizzou adds to 2022 class with commitment from elite 4-star in-state safety
Isaac Thompson had five schools to decide between, including three from the SEC. And on Friday, the 4-star safety made it official — he’s heading to Missouri in 2022.
Thompson announced his decision to commit to the Tigers at a ceremony at St. Louis University High School, choosing them over Arkansas, Florida, Michigan and Texas. Thompson is the No. 11 safety in the 2022 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the No. 4 recruit from Missouri.

Thompson is the fourth commit that Mizzou has landed in the 2022 class, and he’s the third 4-star recruit among them. Thompson is also the third in-state recruit in the group, and he’s the second safety that the Tigers have landed in the class, along with 4-star Xavier Nwankpa from Altoona, Iowa.
That means Missouri now has two of the top 11 safeties in the 2022 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some of Thompson’s highlights from St. Louis University High School:
Wow!! I am shocked and surprised. Figured this kid was heading to Michigan but with the way the Wolverines are playing, the Tigers won him over. Big local pick up for Eli Drinkwitz and co.
Congrats Mizzou fans
Thanks!
Drink is building something special in Columbia Missouri.
His choices were Mullen the WWF half time showman
Arkansas the work in progress
Texas the whole-conference killers, with classless ADs and Coaches
Michigan who likes having an Ohio State run their conference
Ok, class any questions on why Missouri looks way, way better?
Um who won the Florida mizzou game? And didn’t Mizzou have the late hit… and didn’t Mizzou also have 2 players ejected…
Idk but the WWE Man kinda beat y’all 41- 17
One step after the ball is thrown is not a late hit, that’s why the ref being right there, didn’t throw a flag, lizard head.
The whole candy throwing Florida team had to run over to the Missouri bench to try and rescue Mullen’s pillow fight exhibition, WWF was just an exaggeration for a laugh. That’s why they ran into the buzz saw. Not because two Missouri players went looking for a fight, not even your lame attempt to revise history changed that. (or any other big bull-manure step counting in gator girl land)
Did you notice that none of this recruits team-mates had those foam gator heads on at this Missouri commitment party either. That’s because gators are considered mullet-like around those parts.
This was just the most recent game Florida lost. lol.
Just stop man…you are embarrassing yourself.
Man you are a dreamer, a homer. Michigan is a much better spot and you know it. Arkansas a work in progress and Missouri isn’t? No, you arent a dreamer…just going for the shock value. Keep it real.
Umm I don’t remember landing Xavier Nwankpa yet….???
Yeah I think the article is wrong. According to 247 we have 2 commits for 2022, an in-state TE and now Thompson
I think you’re right because according to 247 we have a TE and now Thompson committed for 2022.
I think you’re right because all I can find is we have an in-state TE and now Thompson as 2022 commits.
2022 signing is so far off this isnt even worth talking about.
