Don’t write off Mizzou just for the sake of writing off Mizzou.

The Tigers have quietly improved to 4-0 on the season and are very likely to be ranked heading into Week 5 against Vanderbilt after a win in St. Louis.

But it’s not just the wins over Kansas State and a decent Memphis squad that has impressed. It’s the look of Mizzou’s offensive playmakers during that stretch. Brady Cook, Cody Schrader and Luther Burden have been among the best in the SEC at their position so far this season.

It’s not an exact science, but Brady Cook currently has the No. 2 passer rating in the SEC behind only Jayden Daniels. He’s also the only current starting SEC quarterback who has not yet thrown an interception this season while averaging 268 passing yards per game, 5th in the SEC.

Cody Schrader is off to a strong start too. He’s currently first in the SEC in yards per game and 7th in the conference in average yards per rushing attempt, both great marks.

Mizzou’s most impressive player this season has been Luther Burden, though. The Tigers sophomore is one of the best receivers in the nation and continually shows it day in and day out for Mizzou.

Burden currently ranks 3rd in the SEC with 126 receiving yards per game and is tied for first with 32 receptions across the Tigers’ 4 games. He’s averaging 8 receptions per game which is also tied for the most in the conference.
