Missouri landed its 11th commitment for the class of 2018 Wednesday.

Montgomery, Alabama, native La’Dedric Jackson committed to the Tigers over offers from LSU, Tennessee and Ole Miss, among others. Jackson became the third Mizzou commit from the state of Alabama, joining QB James Foster and DB Cam Taylor.

Jackson is rated as a 3-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 65 OLB and the state’s No. 35 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. With Jackson’s pledge, the Tigers have now had six commitments in less than a week.

The importance of Missouri gaining a foothold in the state of Alabama can’t be overstated. The Tigers brand expanding into the SEC hub is a great thing for Barry Odom and his staff.
