Chase Daniel has made a career as a backup quarterback in the NFL. But given this body of work below, he’s really widening his skill set in training camp.

The former Missouri quarterback slipped on a bucket hat with sunglasses and went out for autographs from his Chicago Bears teammates. Daniel seemed to play up the “fan” angle of the charade and appeared to fit in well with other fans.

While rookie Kylie Fitts appeared to fall easily for the actor, other teammates were not as gullible. Wide receiver Josh Bellamy even called him out right away.

One of the funniest reactions may have been from fellow Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who signed the No. 10 jersey Daniel wore. Trubisky at first did a double take, but then realized he fell for it.

Daniel is in his ninth training camp in the NFL, and previously played for New Orleans, Kansas City and Philadelphia. He went 8-of-16 for 53 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the first preseason game. He previously played for Bears coach Matt Nagy in Kansas City.
