Baseball America shares updated field of 64 projections ahead of SEC Tournament championship

In less than 24 hours, the NCAA Tournament field will be set.
On conference championship Sunday, Baseball America shared updated projections for the field of 64. Twelve SEC teams are projected to make the NCAA Tournament.

Seven of those 12 SEC teams are projected to host NCAA Regionals. Notably, Baseball America has Arkansas grabbing the final hosting spot as the No. 16 seed. The Razorbacks have picked up 3 impressive wins in the SEC Tournament and are playing for the conference tourney title on Sunday.
Five of the projected hosts from the SEC are among the top-8 national seeds. Landing a top-8 seed means a team controls its destiny when it comes to hosting a Super Regional (if it can win the 4-team Regional).
Baseball America has Florida snagging the final top-8 seed, with Texas A&M at No. 9 overall. As expected, Georgia, Texas, Auburn and Alabama are also among the top 8.

- Georgia — No. 3 overall seed, Athens Regional host
- Texas — No. 5 overall seed, Austin Regional host
- Auburn — No. 6 overall seed, Auburn Regional host
- Alabama — No. 7 overall seed, Tuscaloosa Regional host
- Florida — No. 8 overall seed, Gainesville Regional host
- Texas A&M — No. 9 overall seed, College Station Regional host
- Arkansas — No. 16 overall seed, Fayetteville Regional host
- Mississippi State — No. 17 overall seed, Morgantown Regional 2-seed (hosted by No. 14 West Virginia)
- Ole Miss — No. 19 overall seed, Lincoln Regional 2-seed (hosted by No. 13 Nebraska)
- Tennessee — No. 29 overall seed, Chapel Hill Regional 2-seed (hosted by No. 4 North Carolina)
- Oklahoma — No. 30 overall seed, Atlanta Regional seed 2-seed (hosted by No. 2 Georgia Tech)
- Kentucky — Last Four In: Tallahassee Regional 3-seed (hosted by No. 10 Florida State)
