Ethan Surowiec has reportedly found a new home in the SEC.
After 1 season at Ole Miss, Surowiec recently entered his name into the transfer portal. He did not need long to decide to continue his college baseball career at Florida playing for Kevin O’Sullivan. Surowiec announced his commitment to the Gators on Instagram.
Out of Gulfport (Mississippi) High School, Surowiec was a big get for Mike Bianco’s Rebels. Surowiec was rated the No. 89 prospect on the Perfect Game top 500 for the Class of 2024.
Surowiec saw limited playing time in his freshman season. He logged 16 at-bats during Ole Miss’ 2024 campaign, posting a .375 average and .524 on-base percentage, hitting 2 home runs and collecting 8 RBIs.

Florida, however, has plenty to be excited about based on what Surowiec is doing in summer ball with the Duluth Huskies of the Northwoods League. Through 96 ABs, Surowiec has a .427 average with 41 hits, including 15 doubles and 7 home runs, collecting 36 RBIs over 25 games.
